Goodbye USA

On October 10th of last year I received an email informing me that I had been granted my permanent residency in Sweden… That email prompted some major life decisions and set some serious plans in motion.

Those plans are now coming into fruition, which is exciting and scary at the same time. I mean, its not like I can go get a burrito anytime I want in Sweden, and that scares the crap out of me. However, I am excited for all-you-can-eat pickled herring buffets.

On a serious note, yesterday was our last day in the US for quite awhile, and we will miss my side of the family immensely, as well as all of our friends, and of course Mexican food. I know we didn’t get to say bye to everyone that we wanted to, but we will be back. The world is a small place these days.

The first leg of our journey to Sweden is a bit out of the way… Phuket, Thailand! We’ll be here at least three weeks, then play it by ear. The only thing we have booked after Phuket is a flight from Bangkok to Stockholm in mid-June. So, we’ll keep you posted.

Sorry there wasn’t too much detail about Freya or our travel over here, that’s for another post. This was more of a goodbye.
